DUÆLIDAD

Duælidad is a wordplay from the words duelo (grief in Spanish) and dualidad (duality). In this performance, different binaries such as digital/physical, material/spiritual, reason/intuition, mind/body, culture/nature are presented, opposed and manipulated by a full-body green man. The event occurs in a kind of duel room where the face of an animated avatar is also displayed. The avatar speaks out his regrets and last wishes, facilitated and hosted by the green man. The audience is gathered in order to pay tribute to the image and, perhaps, say goodbye to all dualities… or not.

En la performance Duælidad diferentes dualidades como digital/físico, material/espiritual, razón/intuición, mente/cuerpo, cultura/naturaleza son presentadas, opuestas y manipuladas por un hombre de color verde. El evento ocurre en una especie de sala de duelo donde también se muestra el rostro de un avatar animado. El avatar expresa sus lamentos y últimas voluntades, acompañándose del hombre verde anfitrión. El público se reúne para rendir homenaje a la imagen y, quizás, despedirse de todas las dualidades… o no.
